What You'll Do

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary mental health team, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and security staff, to coordinate patient care.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans tailored to inmate needs.
• Perform regular rounds in correctional housing units to assess inmate mental health and adjustment.
• Provide mental health counseling and crisis interventions, including assessments and confrontation avoidance techniques.
• Gather relevant clinical information through collaboration with medical and security staff to inform treatment and address behavioral escalations.

What You Need

• Valid licensure or certification eligibility (must be at least board eligible)
• Prior experience in psychological assessment and treatment, preferably within correctional or clinical settings
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Knowledge of mental health assessment tools and counseling techniques
