This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with physician liaison, healthcare sales, medical device, pharmaceutical, or provider relations experience who enjoy building strategic partnerships and making a measurable impact on patient access and practice growth.Position SummaryThe Physician Liaison is the face of US Foot & Ankle Specialists across our Toms River, Whiting, Forked River, Browns Mills, and Sea Girt locations. This field-based role builds and maintains relationships with referring providers, develops new referral sources, and promotes our podiatric services through strategic outreach and community engagement. Success in this role comes from developing trusted partnerships that drive patient referrals and practice growth.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians, advanced practice providers, and healthcare staff (primary care, orthopedics, endocrinology, wound care, vascular, etc.)Conduct regular in-person and virtual visits to referral sources to promote podiatry servicesIdentify referral trends, gaps, and opportunities within assigned territoryServe as the liaison between referring providers and podiatrists to ensure seamless communication and patient accessEducate referral sources on podiatric services, specialties, procedures, and provider expertise (e.g., diabetic foot care, wound care, sports injuries, surgery)Promote new providers, service lines, locations, and technologiesSupport community outreach events, health fairs, and educational programsCollaborate with marketing team on outreach materials and campaignsAddress referral concerns, access issues, and feedback from providers and office staffAssist with onboarding new referral sourcesSupport physician satisfaction and retention initiativesTrack referral activity, provider visits, and outcomes using CRM or referral tracking toolsPrepare regular reports on outreach activity, referral volume, and market insightsEnsure all activities comply with HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and organizational policiesMonitor competitor activity, market trends, and payer dynamicsProvide actionable insights to leadership on opportunities for growthQualificationsBachelor's degree in healthcare, marketing, business, or related field preferred2+ years of physician liaison, healthcare sales, medical device, or pharmaceutical experience preferredKnowledge of podiatry, orthopedic, or surgical services strongly preferredExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to build long-term professional relationshipsComfortable with travel within assigned territoryProficient in ModMed and Microsoft OfficeKey CompetenciesRelationship building & influenceHealthcare sales & consultative approachTime management & territory planningProfessional presence and discretionProblem-solving and responsivenessPerformance MetricsGrowth in podiatry referral volumeNumber and quality of provider visitsReferral source retention and satisfactionNew referral source developmentOutreach activity completionWork Environment & Physical RequirementsFrequent local travel to medical offices and healthcare facilitiesOccasional evening or weekend community eventsBenefits Offered:Health Insurance (Single & Family plans available)Life InsuranceDisability Insurance401(k) Plan with Company MatchEmployee Discount ProgramPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
