Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Security Specialist I to join the Global Security Operations Center in Waltham, Massachusetts. The role involves open-source intelligence gathering, security analysis, and incident management to protect employees and assets worldwide on a first-shift day schedule.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze open-source intelligence for security threats and environmental events
- Support video surveillance and access control systems operations
- Manage and respond to security incidents and technical support inquiries
- Ensure continuous Global Security Operations Center functionality
- Evaluate security situations and procedures with analytical rigor
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Open-source intelligence gathering and analysis skills demonstrated
- Strong geopolitical and security risk assessment knowledge
- GSOC environment or protective services background highly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Microsoft Office proficiency and digital literacy
- Ability to work variable shifts including nights and weekends
Compensation: $23.04–$30.72 hourly
