Position Overview

The Forklift Operator supports warehouse operations by collecting, loading, shipping, and receiving materials. The role requires forklift operation, general warehouse duties, and teamwork to ensure efficient and accurate order processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a sit-down forklift to transport a variety of materials (e.g., angle iron, mortar, concrete, and sandbags).
• Load/unload delivery trucks and verify shipments against purchase orders.
• Pick, wrap, and stage customer orders.
• Inspect product loads for accuracy and secure them for transport.
• Perform basic forklift inspections and routine maintenance.
• Un-tarp flatbed trailers.
• Complete paperwork for incoming and outgoing inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse (sweeping, wrapping pallets, trash pickup, etc.).
• Adhere to all safety procedures and customer service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time non-exempt hourly position. The standard hours of work for this position are Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to close. However, due to the nature of the role, occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines and business demands.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must be at least 18 years of age (OSHA requirement)
• Ability to operate sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently
• Must be able to successfully complete and pass an onsite forklift skills evaluation/test
• Knowledge of basic warehouse procedures including loading, unloading, stacking, and inventory handling
• Physically able to lift up to 100 pounds, stand, bend, and work in hot/cold non-climate-controlled warehouse conditions for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends as needed
• Good understanding of general warehouse functions
• Basic math, reading, and communication skills
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and flexibility
• Committed to safety, quality, and communication

Paid Time Off (PTO):

401(k) Plan:

• Eligible after 1 year of service (must be 21 or older).
• Employer matches 100% of deferrals up to 3% of compensation.
