Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Lead for a travel nursing job in Louisville, Kentucky.

Job Description & Requirements

RN – Med Surg / Tele / PCU in Louisville, KY
$2302.20/ Weekly

Shift: 3x12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 hours/week

Requirements:

• 2+ years inpatient/trauma hospital experience required
• BLS, NIHSS required
• First-time travelers accepted (with experience)
• Experience with drips (heparin, insulin)
• Skills: trach care, chest tubes, NG/PEG care, blood administration, PIV starts

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for general medicine and cardiology PCU patients
• Monitor and manage patient conditions in a 1:4–6 ratio setting
• Administer medications and IV drips (heparin, insulin)
• Perform respiratory and tube care (trach, NG, PEG)
• Assist with admissions, assessments, and coordinated care with LPN support
• Float to other units based on staffing and census needs

Other:

• Cerner EMR, IV pumps (Plum ICU Medical), Omnicell system
• Galaxy Blue scrubs
• No on-call
• 13-week contract
• Floating required as needed
