Phlebotomist II Float

Position Overview Phlebotomist II Float – Milford, CT, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational weekends. In this float role, you will shift to new patient centers frequently, meeting new people each day. You will receive a robust total rewards package and support to grow your career. Pay Range $21.85 – $24.15 per hour. Salary is based on skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Eligible for an annual performance bonus. Responsibilities Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomist duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams) Enter billing information and collect payment when required Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees; act as point of contact to staff on site and provide regular input to group lead or supervisor Travel to additional doctor’s office or Patient Service Center sites when needed Qualifications Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington Work Experience Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred Keyboard/data entry experience The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
