Aiken Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking an experienced Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead our Dietary Department at our skilled nursing facility in Aiken, SC .

The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for directing, evaluating, and monitoring dietary department staff, including scheduling, hiring, performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee evaluations.

Schedule

• Full-Time

• On-Site – NOT Remote

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Dietary Department.

• Manage food service employees, including scheduling, hiring, coaching, and performance management.

• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and make only authorized food substitutions.

• Prepare food according to standardized recipes and special diet orders.

• Review resident care plans as necessary to ensure dietary needs are being met.

• Provide nutrition counseling with assistance from a Registered Dietitian.

• Monitor food quality, sanitation, safety, and meal service standards.

• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to support quality resident care.

• Conduct employee performance evaluations and address performance concerns as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM).

• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.

• Prior dietary management or supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
