AppleTree Staffing is hiring a Proposal & Quoting Specialist for an established manufacturer serving aerospace, defense, and other high-reliability industries. This role supports new business opportunities by developing accurate, competitive, and technically sound proposals.

About the Role
This position works closely with Business Development, engineering, and operations to turn customer requirements into manufacturing plans, cost models, and clear proposals. Ideal candidates have experience in composite manufacturing and can communicate both technical and pricing details effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Develop customer-ready proposals for composite structures and assemblies
Translate RFQs, drawings, and specs into manufacturing plans
Build detailed cost estimates (labor, materials, tooling, overhead)
Support pricing strategy and validate production assumptions
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams
Identify risks and support customer discussions during proposal cycles
Continuously improving quoting tools and processes

Qualifications

Experience in aerospace, defense, or composite manufacturing
Strong understanding of composite processes
Ability to read engineering drawings and build cost estimates
Strong communication and attention to detail

Preferred

Background in manufacturing engineering, estimating, or program management
Experience with ERP/MRP systems
Familiarity with AS9100 standards
