Business Account Specialist – SMB (Inside Base Management Team) Responsible for proactive outbound calls to Verizon's small‑business customers, ensuring accounts remain in good standing while presenting the latest offers, plans, and services. Provide a world‑class customer experience through onboarding, billing support, and strategic upsell opportunities. Responsibilities Perform outbound calls to small‑business accounts, confirming account status and presenting eligible offers. Guide customers through their first bill, explaining proration, activation fees, and device promotion timelines to prevent “bill shock.” Execute curated marketing campaigns for base offer strategy, including planned migration, special product, and service offers. Actively prospect within existing accounts for new business needs, employee hires, and referral leads. Right‑size accounts by adding relevant Verizon products (e.g., FWA, OneTalk) and free resources such as the Small Business Digital Ready program. Maintain and navigate multiple platforms swiftly to support efficient call handling. Use consultative selling to uncover secondary opportunities beyond the primary call objective. De‑escalate customer frustration, turning negative interactions into moments of delight and establishing trust. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Experience in customer service and/or business‑to‑business sales. Experience handling inbound and outbound customer calls. Strong product and solution fluency, including knowledge of Verizon’s full product catalog. Excellent speaking and listening skills, with a consultative mindset. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment. Comfortable with handling complex billing conversations and multi‑platform navigation. Additional Information External candidates may be eligible for up to $2,500 sign‑on bonus. Hybrid work model: minimum of three days per week in the office, with the remaining days working from home as directed by the manager. Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
