Job Summary:
Ambulatory Care Medical Surgical Skilled Nurse position located in Palo Alto, California. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care within an outpatient setting, utilizing evidence-based nursing practices, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes. The position supports a level 1 trauma center and emphasizes effective communication, clinical expertise, and professional development.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Days, 8 hours shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university; current California Registered Nurse (CA-RN) license; American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
• Experience: 1 year of clinical nursing experience in Medical Surgical or Ambulatory Care settings
• Start Date: 07/09/2026
• Location: 900 Blake Wilbur Drive, Palo Alto, CA 94304
• Additional Experience: Trauma Level 1 experience, experience in teaching hospitals, and proficiency with electronic medical record systems including Epic, Cerner, and Meditech.
• Preferred Qualifications: Effective communication skills in English, ability to work in an outpatient ambulatory environment, and willingness to float within scope of practice as needed.
• Notes & Comments:
  • Trauma Level 1 experience and teaching hospital background preferred.
  • Harini Hewa Halpage has 3 years of RN experience, specializing in Med Surg/Telemetry, and has been a Travel Nurse since 2021.
