Travel Physical Therapist - $2,032 per week

Position Summary Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 14‑week assignment in Columbia, Maryland, starting 05/26/2026. The role requires 40 hours per week, 8‑hour days. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Physical therapy experience (new graduates welcome). Other certifications or licenses may be required. Job Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. The position involves creating personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized equipment safely and ensure proper maintenance. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention. Maintain a safe treatment environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read/write and communicate in English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. PC skills. Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Ability to work effectively with diverse personnel. Ability to work under close supervision occasionally.
