Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, VA, a recently designated Level II Trauma Center, is seeking a full-time, call-taking Cardiac Anesthesiologist. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing facility with increasing obstetric and surgical case volumes. The role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care across a wide range of surgical procedures within a well-established local anesthesia practice that has served the hospital for over 40 years. Practice Info * Community hospital with 340 beds * Features around-the-clock pediatric and adult emergency room care * Home to the Virginia Institute of Robotic Surgery Center, The Heart Center at Henrico Doctors', Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute, Primary Stroke Center, Women's Hospital, and the Virginia Transplant Center (specialty in kidney transplants) * Local practice also provides coverage to Retreat Doctors' Hospital, Parham Doctors' Hospital, and five ambulatory surgical centers * Served by the same local anesthesia practice since it opened over 40 years ago Responsibilities * Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures * Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent * Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients * Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia * Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed * Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership Compensation * Salary: $575,000 * Sign-on Incentives: $150,000 Benefits * Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance * Generous paid time off * Flexible Spending Accounts/Health Savings Accounts * 401(k) & Profit Sharing * Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage * Loan repayment & training assistance available Requirements * M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine * TEE proficiency is required * Completion of Cardiac Fellowship * ECFMG and FLEX * Completion of approved residency in anesthesia * Currently licensed as a physician
