Clinical Pharmacy Technician

The Clinical Pharmacy Technician supports the pharmacy team by performing both traditional dispensing duties and expanded clinical responsibilities that enhance patient care. This role focuses on patient engagement, medication management, and collaboration with pharmacists to improve health outcomes in all settings including but not limited to community, long-term care and specialty services. Seeking candidates interested in expanding professional role beyond dispensing into patient-centered care and clinical service delivery.

Major responsibilities include assisting pharmacists in the delivery of clinical services, including medication therapy management, comprehensive medication management, comprehensive medication reviews, immunization support, point-of-care testing, remote patient monitoring, chronic disease management initiatives, performing administrative tasks related to clinical services, conducting patient outreach, gathering and documenting patient health information, working collaboratively with clinical teams, educating patients on proper medication use, serving as a patient advocate, coordinating with providers and other healthcare professionals, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, supporting pharmacy operations, and more.

This position is based inside a pharmacy and requires direct interaction with patients, pharmacists, and healthcare providers. The role involves balancing clinical service delivery with traditional pharmacy technician duties in a fast-paced environment.

Desired minimum qualifications include graduation from a high school or GED equivalent, current state certification and/or registration as a Pharmacy Technician, one year experience in a similar position requiring clinical pharmacy experience, strong communication skills, detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills, comfortable using pharmacy technology platforms, clinical documentation systems, and data reporting tools, willingness to receive Community Health Worker Training, and more.

Physical demands include long periods of standing, talking and hearing, using hands and fingers, handling objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms, lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds, and specific vision abilities.

Compensation: $15.85 - $25.50 per hour.
