Seasonal Retail Associate – College Textbook & Apparel Store Location: Concordia University Campus Bookstore Compensation: $12.50/hour Job Type: Seasonal, Part-time, Hourly The Concordia University Campus Textbook & Apparel Store is hiring Seasonal Retail Associates to support our team during the busy back-to-school season. This temporary position is tentatively scheduled to end on October 26, 2026. We are looking for detail-oriented, organized individuals who enjoy providing excellent customer service. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and other customers during our peak season. Key Responsibilities: Store Maintenance & Operations: Ensure the store remains safe, clean, and well‑organized for customers and staff. Clean and sanitize workstations, counters, door handles, phones, credit card machines, and signature pads. Regularly clean the breakroom and vacuum rugs, entry mats, and other designated areas. Empty trash bins and ensure waste is disposed of properly. Stocking & Organization: Ensure shopping bags, receipt paper, and barcode labels are readily available at registers and workstations. Organize and restock clothing returns and merchandise while keeping displays neat and visually appealing. Straighten and organize customer pickup orders for easy retrieval. Maintain the organization of hangers, clothing racks, and the overall store. Clean store walkways using a Swiffer to provide a pleasant shopping experience. Required Skills: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and organization. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced retail environment. Positive and professional attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction. Ability to work well as part of a team during a busy peak season.
