Pastry Supervisor

We are seeking a talented and hands-on Pastry Supervisor to support our culinary leadership and oversee day-to-day pastry operations. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about baking, takes pride in craftsmanship, and enjoys coaching team members in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily production of pastries, desserts, breads, and specialty items
• Lead and support a team of pastry cooks, bakers, and utility staff
• Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all pastry products
• Train team members on techniques, recipes, safety, and sanitation practices
• Maintain inventory, monitor par levels, and communicate ordering needs
• Support the Executive Chefs with menu development, specials, and seasonal offerings
• Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
• Oversee station set-up, break-down, and cleaning schedules
• Collaborate with culinary and front-of-house partners to ensure service excellence

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in pastry or baking; supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
• Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor team members
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Able to work mornings, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed
• ServSafe or food handler certification (or ability to obtain)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Work in hot, cold, and high-production environments
