Content Marketing Manager

Brand Copy Writer

Granicus is seeking a Brand Copy Writer to join the Content Team with development, creation, and editing of marketing collateral, with a special focus on transforming complex, long-form copy into pithy short-form content. This role is a critical part of our content engine and will be essential for ensuring Granicus goes to market with the best version of our story, told in the most engaging way for each channel.

Strong writing and editing skills required. The ideal candidate has demonstrated skills developing ad and promotional copy (short, snappy, effective) and working with marketing, sales, and leadership to create impactful short- and medium-form content (one-pagers, brag sheets, thought leadership blogs, short guides). Skills with alternate forms of storytelling (video, images, presentations, social) is a preferred.

You will work closely with brand, segment, product marketing, and regional marketers to ideate, write, and produce campaigns across web, social, earned media, and other forms of collateral. You will also work with these teams to continuously optimize our messaging and update collateral as needed.

An innovative thinker who looks for new channels, formats, and mixes of content to deliver the most impactful marketing collateral.

Someone with strong communication and project coordination skills who can help stakeholders surface their best ideas and develop content strategies to match.

Someone who looks beyond single-use or standalone content for opportunities to produce evergreen materials and multichannel campaigns.

Capable of producing 5-10 blogs' worth of copy a week (actual mix and deliverables will vary based on need).

Proficient in finding innovative ways to make the most out of content through multiple channels and content types.

Someone with strong in-line and developmental editing skills.

Someone who demonstrates creativity in written copy, as well as campaign planning and market strategies.

You Will Love This Job If You Have

At least 4-6 years of related experience developing content for marketing teams, particularly for ads, social, and brand messaging.

Strong writing skills, with the ability to draft copy that is emotional, logical, informative, and engaging.

Excellent MS Office skills.

Detail-oriented, especially when it comes to editing and refining copy.

Exceptional problem-solving skills.

Effective project management skills, including challenging the status quo and identifying needs to reassess existing approaches/processes.

Adaptability and enjoyment of working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy or quality.

Understanding the difference between using AI as a development tool versus having it do your writing for you.

Pay Range

USD $81,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
