Job Description

Join our fast-paced Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit, where we provide exceptional care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures. You will be responsible for delivering personalized nursing care to ensure optimal recovery in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients in Phase 1 (1:1, 1:2 ratio) and Phase 2 (1:3 ratio) recovery stages.
• Administer medications and manage IV fluids as required.
• Collaborate with surgical teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care.
• Respond to emergency situations with effective and appropriate care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a surgical recovery setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must be AHA certified).
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Ability to read cardiac strips.
