Agricultural Property / Operations Manager

Farm Property Manager / Agricultural Operations Manager – Central Valley, CA Nelson Connects is partnering with an innovative organization focused on sustainable agriculture and responsible land management to identify a Farm Property Manager / Agricultural Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of agricultural properties in the Central Valley. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys the intersection of agriculture, operations, asset management, and relationship building . This is not a traditional crop production role - the focus is on managing agricultural assets, working with farming partners, overseeing vendors and projects, managing budgets, and ensuring properties operate successfully. What you’ll be doing: Oversee multiple farms within the region, partnering with onsite farm managers, tenants, contractors, and vendors Serve as the primary point of contact for agricultural partners and stakeholders Manage property operations, maintenance, capital projects, and improvement initiatives Support budgeting, financial performance, cost management, and operational efficiencies Review farm performance, expenses, and reporting to help maximize long-term returns Coordinate projects involving irrigation systems, infrastructure, facilities, and land improvements Help ensure compliance with agricultural, environmental, and operational requirements What we’re looking for: Experience managing agricultural operations, ranches, vineyards, orchards, farms, or similar environments Strong leadership skills with experience managing people, vendors, contractors, or partners Background overseeing budgets, projects, properties, or operational improvements Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders Comfortable balancing hands-on field presence with operational and business responsibilities Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Ideal backgrounds may include: Agricultural Operations Vineyard or Orchard Management Ranch Management Land/Property Management Facilities or Operations Management within an agricultural environment Asset Management with strong operational ownership Based in the Central Valley, CA (ideally between Stockton and Sacramento) Company vehicle provided Based in the Central Valley, CA (ideally between Stockton and Sacramento) Company vehicle provided Responsible for overseeing multiple agricultural properties in the region This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven organization transforming the future of agriculture while playing a key role in managing valuable farmland assets.
