Application Developer

Duration: 6+ month contract

Work Location: Remote - EST or CST work hours

Pay: $60 - $65 / hour

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401k.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality code for web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a timely manner
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Support, enhance, and maintain existing applications and system integrations
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and related documentation
• Gather business requirements and contribute across the full development lifecycle (analysis, development, testing, and deployment)
• Stay current with emerging technologies to ensure applications remain modern and competitive

Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Swift
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design (RDBMS)
• Experience working with the Microsoft.NET stack (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, VB.NET)
• Understanding of application integrations and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Experience with workflow, time/billing, or financial systems (e.g., GL, AP) is preferred
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear documentation
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a team environment
