Shift: AM Shift (6am) and Weekends.

Compensation: $17.13 - $18.50

POSITION SUMMARY

The Dietary Aide is responsible for table service to residents. Provide Christ-centric customer service that aligns with CRISTA's values. Set up and clear dining room tables and perform other duties as required. This position is an integral part of Senior Living's mission of providing joy and purpose to the lives of our residents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


(General overview and may not include all details of responsibilities)

• Properly take food orders from residents and deliver their food to them in a courteous and considerate manner.
• Prepare and portion meals according to menus and dietary guidelines.
• Serve food and beverages to residents in the dining room or deliver meal trays to rooms.
• Assist with preparing special diets (pureed or mechanically soft diets) as directed.
• Clear and reset tables for the next service.
• Maintain knowledge of food handling and infection control, including HACCP standards in order to maintain a sanitary dining room and kitchen area.
• Manage problems as they arise in the dining room.
• Attend scheduled meetings and in-services.
• Complete all annual required training.
• Assist with catering and special events as assigned.
• Train new employees
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and dining areas.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors, remove trash, and maintain a clean workspace.
• Stock food, supplies and beverages.
• Properly use all job-related food equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and residents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

CHRIST CENTERED

• Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
• Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (e.g. daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc.).
• Prayerfully seeks God's will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA.
• Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
• Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA's Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
• Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
• Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION

• Current Washington State Food Handler's permit.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

• Read, write, communicate and interpret English at a functional level.
• Adhere to CRISTA dress code standards.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using while numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to perform operations using money, weight measurement and volume.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, and residents.
• Ability to pass background checks relating to DSHS Secretary's List of Crimes and Negative Actions. (WAC 388-113).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous food experience in related field.

SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE

• Microsoft word and Excel.
