Maintenance Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY

This position will oversee the maintenance of all facility components of the operation, may also oversee the maintenance of all transportation fleet. Primary responsibility will be to control costs while providing the best possible maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and employee safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage building maintenance. Follow-up on all warranty issues and lease issues through distribution services and the manufacturers. Oversee and coordinate all building maintenance projects, upgrades, new construction, repairs, additions, security-related matters, and all equipment monitoring and control. Manage the day to day performance of third-party contract maintenance providers for both transportation and warehouse equipment and for building maintenance. Work closely with the Transportation and Warehouse Managers to ensure their departmental needs are met. Responsible for the profit and loss budget, including maintenance, parts purchases, and renovations as applicable. Manage all personnel in the maintenance department including hiring, handling personnel issues, reviewing performance, conducting training and coaching sessions, and termination if necessary as applicable. Manage regulatory compliance for distribution center.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education High school diploma plus a minimum of 2 years experience in warehouse equipment and refrigeration maintenance 4-year degree in business management or related field a plus If maintaining the centers fleet, must have a High school diploma plus a 4-year degree, 3 years experience in tractor/trailer/warehouse equipment/refrigeration maintenance; or a high school diploma plus 5 years related experience. Professional skills Must be able to effectively communicate (including reading, writing, and speaking) in English. Must have a complete understanding of license and permit requirements as well as tax issues that pertain to the fleet. Must have a working knowledge of PCs, Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word. Physical Demand Work is primarily sedentary in nature. Frequent standing and bending are required when checking equipment. You must have the ability to communicate clearly, primarily via telephone, with vendors, manufacturers, customers, and Company personnel.
