Learn More About ProSidian Consulting at DescriptionProSidian Seeks a 2D Plant Designer - Engineering (Time and Materials | Non-Exempt) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of an Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category 30062) to fulfill T&M - Time and Materials (T&M) requirements. Provide 2D Designer support services to assigned SRR Engineering Teams. Designer support services include engineering analysis, design development, and generation of design output documents in the following areas:ElectricalEquipment layoutGroundingCable trayConduitLighting systemsSchematics and wiring diagramsWorking knowledge of National Codes and Standards for electrical design such as IEC, NEC, NFPA, NEMA, IEEE, and OSHAPlant DesignMechanical systems including piping, material handling, equipment and HVAC componentsEquipment layout, piping layout and HVAC layout based on upper tier documentsWorking knowledge of National Codes and Standards for plant design such as ASME B31.3, NFPA 101, ASME N509/510 and B16The required discipline experience will be identified in the request for resumes.Individuals at times will be required to travel off-site to interface with vendors, fabricators, and other Engineering organizations.Design services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.Education:High School Degree is required. Formal training beyond High School in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting is preferred.Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)Experience /Skills:The candidate must demonstrate eight (8) years of experience as a Designer in the specified discipline. Experience in 2D Microstation CADD is required. The candidate must have the ability to walk down systems in the field.Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of 2d Design. Basic two-dimensional design forms the foundation of graphic design and visual communication.By applying basic mark-making. or drawing concepts such as lines and shapes to an understanding. of how to define and make use of the picture plane and apply. Work Hours:A 40-hour workweek is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B).
