Non-QM Underwriter (Scenario Support)

Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for scenario inquiries and underwriting guidance related to Non-QM loan products. Assist Non-QM Underwriting Managers with guideline interpretation, condition clarification, and resolution of file-level questions. Collaborate with investors to submit and track exception requests, working closely with Underwriters and Sales to gather necessary documentation. Support the administrative and post-closing team on Non-QM investor suspense items as needed. Maintain strong working knowledge of Non-QM investor guidelines and internal policies. Contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Expert knowledge of Non-QM income documentation and underwriting guidelines Recent experience in manual underwriting and credit review Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office software High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred Minimum 4 years of experience in mortgage underwriting or a related credit role Minimum 2 years specific to Non-QM loan products Work Environment This is a remote position. Compensation and Benefits Estimated Rate of Pay: $38.50 - $43.30. This position is full-time; non-exempt. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
