Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Shift Flexibility: May occasionally support 2nd shift, potentially up to 50% of the time, with hours extending until approximately 7:00 PM

Job Summary


The Manufacturing Engineer I will support manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, process improvement, and engineering projects within a team environment. This entry-level role focuses on analyzing and improving manufacturing processes, supporting feasibility testing, developing engineering standards, coordinating suppliers and subcontractors, and implementing process improvements under established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering activities for assigned projects and processes.
• Analyze manufacturing information and support the development of methods, process steps, equipment, machinery, and manufacturing systems.
• Support the design and continuous improvement of manufacturing and material processes.
• Conduct feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions and provide data and feedback to validate designs.
• Assist with developing and evaluating engineering standards and specifications.
• Perform inspections under the guidance of senior engineers to evaluate engineering work and existing installations.
• Identify issues affecting conformance with engineering specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers and serve as a primary point of contact within established contract-management plans.
• Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures and support corrective improvements through established change-management processes.
• Support product development and engineering activities by analyzing customer needs and helping define and deliver products.
• Work within established project management plans to achieve assigned goals.
• Provide support and guidance to team members using knowledge-management systems.
• May coordinate and review portions of work completed by support personnel and contractors.
• Maintain awareness of relevant technology, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Participate in training, coaching, and professional development activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level in an engineering-related discipline.
• Knowledge of engineering technology, design, development, and implementation.
• Understanding of engineering specifications and testing.
• Ability to analyze business and engineering requirements.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering processes and technical operations.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
