What youll be doing

Installing splicing testing repairing and maintaining the technology that keeps millions of customers connected. Be part of a team that makes a profound impact every single day by ensuring that our fiber-optic network performs reliably. Because here better matters.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Connecting disconnecting testing repairing maintaining installing and rearranging Company and customer-provided equipment inside wiring and wires at poles underground or building terminals.
• Making necessary preparations required for splicing rearranging and terminating cable conductors.
• Installing repairing maintaining and testing access lines for all types of equipment and technology.
• Operating trucks and equipment needed to perform work operations in a safe manner.
• Reading and interpreting engineering plans and vendor specifications.
• Climbing ladders and poles working aloft perceiving differences in wire and cable colors and distinguishing audio tones.
• Working evenings weekends holidays and unscheduled shifts as determined by the needs of the business.

You know telecommunications and are anxious to put your knowledge and skills to work on Verizons network. You like to be busy and well-organized to stay on top of things. You know that the whole team needs to work together to winand you take pride in a job well done.

Youll need to have:

• Valid state drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Related Associate Degree or 2 or more years relevant experience.
• Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. For part-time roles your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The weekly wage range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $807.50 - $2210.50.
