Strivector's premier client (a well-known market leader in their space) is hiring for the following full-time direct hire position.POSITION OVERVIEWAs an Automation Controls Engineer your roles and responsibilities will include: The Automation Controls Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of automated manufacturing systems within an advanced manufacturing environment. This role is embedded within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team and focuses on delivering cost-effective automation solutions that improve efficiency, throughput, and product quality. The engineer will work collaboratively with mechanical, robotics, controls, and software engineers and partner closely with manufacturing and operations teams.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, develop, and implement manufacturing automation solutions that improve efficiency, utilization, and throughputDesign and support automated systems including robotics, industrial controls, machine tending, material handling, RFID, machine vision, and automated assemblyAssist with specification, justification, and purchase of automation capital equipment with a focus on ROISupport and enhance existing automation systems already in productionTroubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve automation-related software and hardware issuesCollaborate with cross-functional teams and external automation integratorsMinimize production disruption during implementation of new automation processesSupport continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operationsTravel as required for system research, development, and installationQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Engineering or a technical disciplinePreferred: Automation, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering5–10 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems within a manufacturing environmentHands-on experience with industrial controls and robotics programming and integrationStrong understanding of mechanical, electrical, software, and electromechanical systemsPLC programming and control system software experienceAbility to troubleshoot complex automation systemsStrong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentPreferred ExperienceAerospace manufacturing and Lean Manufacturing experienceSCADA systems and enterprise system integrationCNC machine tool tending and interfacesCAD experience (Siemens NX preferred)Experience with Ignition, Fanuc, and Rockwell Automation platformsMost importantly, you need to be a passionate Automation Controls Engineer who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization.
