Operations Supervisor

Overview Operations Supervisor – Rochelle, IL. 5pm–1:30am Monday–Friday. Salary $70,000–$75,000 per year with benefits and PTO. Responsibilities Supervise, coordinate, and oversee day‑to‑day logistics operations. Plan and review logistics processes with the Logistics Manager to meet company standards and customer service specifications. Establish work schedules and procedures, ensuring optimal shift/team logistics. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), work collaboratively with customers, and conduct regular team and individual reviews to track progress and coach staff. Execute performance evaluations, recommend awards and merit increases, and handle disciplinary actions as needed. Maintain positive labor relations and understand labor agreements. Implement health & safety, and security initiatives in accordance with company rules. Provide orientations and ongoing training, and supply necessary information, technology, and materials to Lead Hands. Carry out other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum one year of experience in transportation, warehouse, or distribution environment. 0–1 year of direct supervisory/leadership experience required. Comfortable managing and coaching hourly representatives, including audits and safety issues. DOT regulated experience (if applicable). Skills and Abilities Strong planning and results‑oriented mindset. Effective leadership, motivating, and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. High degree of initiative and self‑driven in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility, multitasking, organization, time‑management, and attention to detail. Compensation Salary: $70,000–$75,000 per year. Eligible for annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan depending on level and type.
