Director, Retail Insights

Compensation: USD 140,000 - USD 170,000 yearly. Job Description As a Client Director, you serve as the senior leader responsible for providing compelling, thoughtful, action-oriented analysis across major retail client accounts. The role requires understanding of the retail value chain, building client relationships, and delivering insights that drive conversations. You act as the voice of the client internally, aligning with NIQ’s commercial teams and fostering long-term partnerships. Responsibilities Maintain and build productive business relationships with key client contacts; act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. Align with account teams to advance account strategy and commercial objectives. Drive thought leadership initiatives and deliver actionable insights using NIQ data and tools. Manage client relationships and champion their objectives internally. Identify and translate client needs into actionable revenue leads. Drive revenue growth through renewals, upsells, and new solution adoption. Manage and mentor a team of Client Managers, Associate Client Directors, and Analysts. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee delivery quality and adherence to SLAs. Qualifications 8+ years in client leadership roles within retail or CPG. 3-5+ years of direct report responsibility for mentoring and managing associates. 4 days per week onsite with client. Proven success managing large accounts and complex negotiations. Strong analytical storytelling skills and consultative mindset. Working knowledge of syndicated data offerings with exposure to NIQ or similar solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adaptable and polished in diverse settings. Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to lead diverse teams and drive transformation initiatives. Strong sense of urgency and accountability to drive client outcomes while managing multiple priorities. Able to work collaboratively with internal and external teams. Travel 10-15% expected.
