About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in related nursing specialty preferred License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: Current BLS certification required (AHA only) Must-Have: Current ACLS certification required (AHA only) Description: The competent nurse practices independently in a clinical setting. Demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care. Develops the ability to cope with and manage clinical nursing contingencies. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers. Meets expectations of leadership competencies. Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administers medications and treatments using the appropriate protocol. Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients and family members. Identifies issues and resources relevant to patient care.
