DELTA | Heavy Equipment Operator (Paving Crew)- NE Arkansas

Main Responsibilities Adhere to Delta's safety programs to ensure a safe work environment. The ability to operate asphalt heavy equipment such as a roller, paver, and a broom skid steer. Have an accurate and working knowledge of heavy equipment. Willingness and ability to keep equipment maintained and clean. Willingness to work nights and weekends. Operate equipment in a safe and consistent manner. Job Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have one or more years experience working in and around construction equipment. Must provide own transportation to and from work. Physical Demands Must have ability to perform physical labor, such as standing for long periods of time, lifting, climbing, shoveling, and having overall agility in the heat. Must be able to climb onto and up and down a machine several times a day. Must be able to sit in a machine and operate it for several hours without stopping. Must withstand vibration from job site conditions as well as noise from other equipment. Must be able to use arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
