Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• Works in a hospital NICU setting
• Neonatal patient population, including monitoring intake/output and baby-friendly/breastfeeding care
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma facility experience required
• 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required on an every-other-holiday basis
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include neonatal patient monitoring, medication administration via barcode scanning, breastfeeding initiation support, and documentation of nursing care
• Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and patient care communication
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• Candidates who have been on assignment with this health system for more than 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any of its locations
• Candidate selection involves a leader interview process
