Maintenance Manager, food manufacturing

Job Description

A growing food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations, improve equipment reliability, and support a safe, efficient production environment. Food manufacturing experience is required.


Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and develop the maintenance team.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for production and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.
• Reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability and plant efficiency.
• Plan and prioritize maintenance activities around production schedules.
• Manage parts inventory, vendors, contractors, and maintenance spending.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects.
• Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, food safety, and company safety requirements.
• Partner with production, quality, sanitation, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Food manufacturing maintenance experience required.
• Previous maintenance leadership or management experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance and CMMS programs.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to lead technicians while remaining hands-on and visible on the plant floor.
• Knowledge of GMP, food safety, LOTO, and OSHA requirements.
• PLC, automation, refrigeration, boilers, or other plant utility experience is a plus.

Compensation


$90,000-$110,000 , depending on experience.
