Job Title: Material Handler


City and State: South Elgin, IL


Pay Rate:

Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm


Employment Type: Full-Time

Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and accurate receiving, staging, transport, and inventory management of raw materials while supporting production and logistics operations in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming material shipments using material handling equipment.
  • Transport and stage materials throughout the facility to support production requirements.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through labeling, cycle counts, inventory transactions, and discrepancy reporting.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely while completing required inspections and documentation.
  • Follow quality, safety, housekeeping, and traceability procedures while supporting shipping and receiving activities.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or in a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Forklift experience or certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification required.
  • Ability to read packing slips, purchase orders, work orders, and related documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
