Deli/Grill Cook - Corporate Kitchen | Location: Phoenix, AZ 85083

Compensation: $25 per hour| Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:30a-2p

Job Summary

Bring your passion for great food and guest service to our team! As a Deli/Grill Cook , you'll play a key role in preparing fresh, made-from-scratch menu items while delivering an outstanding customer experience. From grilling meats and vegetables to assembling sandwiches, salads, and deli specialties, you'll help ensure every meal is prepared with quality, consistency, and care. This fast-paced position requires strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and cleanliness. What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook grilled items, deli offerings, sandwiches, soups, salads, and other menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Operate and maintain grills, ovens, slicers, panini presses, and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Prepare and portion ingredients while following proper food handling and waste control procedures.
• Assemble orders accurately and efficiently to meet guest expectations and service timelines.
• Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and respond to basic menu questions.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
• Assist with stocking, inventory, and product rotation as needed.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support daily café operations.
• Follow company policies, health department regulations, and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned

What You Will Bring

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in a deli, café, grill, restaurant, or similar foodservice environment preferred.
• Knowledge of grilling techniques, food preparation methods, and safe food handling practices.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and portion standards.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and cash handling experience preferred.
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and responsible food handling standards.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handler Card.

Physical and Sensory Requirements

• This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequent reaching, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions in a fast-paced kitchen and café environment. Employees are regularly exposed to hot surfaces, moving mechanical equipment, fumes, airborne particles, moderate noise levels, and varying temperatures.
