Parts Counterperson

Parts Counterperson Location: Whitewater, WI Company: Burtness Chevrolet Buick GMC Burtness Chevrolet Buick GMC is seeking a dependable, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Parts Counterperson to join our team in Whitewater. This position is responsible for assisting technicians, service advisors, retail customers, and wholesale accounts by providing accurate parts identification, ordering, inventory management, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a team. What You'll Do Assist technicians, service advisors, retail customers, and wholesale customers with parts identification and ordering Receive, inspect, stock, and organize incoming parts shipments Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with inventory counts Process special orders, returns, core returns, and warranty parts accurately and efficiently Communicate with manufacturers, vendors, and internal team members to ensure timely parts availability Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts department Merchandise and maintain parts displays as needed Follow all company policies and safety procedures Cross-train and provide support as a Service Advisor when needed, including assisting customers, scheduling service appointments, and coordinating repair orders What We're Looking For Previous automotive parts experience preferred (GM experience is a plus) Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational and time management skills Basic computer skills (Tekion experience is a plus) Willingness to learn and support other areas of the dealership as needed Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Schedule Full-time position Monday–Friday What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off, including two (2) weeks of vacation within your first year of employment Employee discounts Paid training and opportunities for career advancement A supportive, family-owned dealership culture Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Burtness Chevrolet Buick GMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
