Project Engineer

Job Description

A top employer in the industrial construction industry is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team. This individual will provide technical support to project management, construction supervision, and field teams to ensure work is performed in compliance with project specifications, drawings, schedules, and applicable codes. The Project Engineer will be heavily involved in project coordination, change management, document control, budgeting, scheduling, cost tracking, subcontractor support, and quality assurance. This role offers exposure to large-scale construction projects and requires someone who can balance technical engineering responsibilities with project execution and field coordination.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field OR equal amount of experience

• Knowledge of construction/manufacturing equipment, methods, drawings, specifications, and applicable industry standards

• Understanding of how engineering, construction, and project teams interact across multiple functions

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including trigonometry

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Knowledge of estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control concepts

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business software - Experience with Primavera P6

• Experience with InEight (listed as Innate) and COINS or similar construction/project management software

• Experience supporting large industrial construction projects

• Experience performing field engineering, quality inspections, or constructability reviews

• Familiarity with project controls, document control, and subcontractor management

• Experience supporting schedule development and project forecasting

• Exposure to complex, schedule-driven environments with critical milestones
