Field Technician (Heavy Equipment)
Lonestar Forklift is looking for a mechanically inclined Field Technician (Heavy Equipment) to join our Service team in Fort Worth, Texas. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Technician will be assigned to a variety of machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As a Field Technician your key responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing, repairing, and completing routine maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery
- Maintaining effective and consistent communication with the Service Dispatcher regarding ongoing Service jobs, and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Discussing Service job details with customers and communicating a clear understanding of the job scope and repair requirements
- Communicating with the Parts department via phone and email to ensure required parts are ordered, and preparing required parts before visiting job sites
- Maintaining proper documentation where needed, including work order forms and warranty paperwork
- Reporting any safety incidents promptly and adhering to all safety policies
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- At least 5 years of material handling equipment repair/diagnostic experience
- Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing and servicing electric engines is an asset
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong aptitude for learning and applying mechanical and technical concepts
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- High school diploma
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites in the region is required

The base pay range for this role is: $25.00 to $49.00 per hour, depending on experience.
This is an onsite role based in Fort Worth, Texas.
