Senior Accountant

LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This role is ideal for professionals coming from public accounting (Big 4 or national/regional firms) who want to transition into an industry role with meaningful ownership, complex accounting exposure, and a clear path for growth.

This position plays a key role in the monthly close and financial reporting process, with broad visibility across the business and regular interaction with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform revenue and cost accounting activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries and supporting documentation
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
• Perform detailed financial statement and flux analysis, providing clear, GAAP-based explanations
• Partner with internal business units to address accounting and operational questions
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, and controls
• Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives related to reporting, systems, or process improvement

Technical & Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
• ~5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Public accounting experience (Big 4 / national firm) highly attractive
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience with core accounting cycles:
• Record-to-report
• Revenue recognition
• Cost accounting concepts
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with large ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, similar platforms) a plus
• Proven ability to document accounting positions clearly and defensibly

Pay Details: $78,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
