Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning across all age groups utilizing standardized assessments and thorough observational techniques.
• Design individualized treatment plans that align both with short-term targets and long-lasting communication and swallowing ambitions.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy focusing on language, voice, fluency, and swallowing challenges.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to craft unified care strategies.
• Provide valuable education for patients and families, empowering growth and progress outside the therapy sessions.
• Participate in sporadic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Accurately document treatment and progress, adhering to both state and federal regulations as well as organizational policies.
• Enhance your knowledge and skills by staying current with advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer interaction.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
