- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning across all age groups utilizing standardized assessments and thorough observational techniques.
- Design individualized treatment plans that align both with short-term targets and long-lasting communication and swallowing ambitions.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy focusing on language, voice, fluency, and swallowing challenges.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to craft unified care strategies.
- Provide valuable education for patients and families, empowering growth and progress outside the therapy sessions.
- Participate in sporadic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Accurately document treatment and progress, adhering to both state and federal regulations as well as organizational policies.
- Enhance your knowledge and skills by staying current with advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer interaction.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based practices across all age groups, coupled with a thorough understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing difficulties.
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Cultural competence and adaptability in therapeutic approaches to meet varying linguistic needs.
- Strong clinical decision-making and analytical skills.
- Proficient with electronic health records and documentation standards.
