Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Facility Community Springs Healthcare Schedule - Shift - Hours Part Time - Days - 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the team. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long‑term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. About the department Equipped with specialized technologies, including Balance Master, VitalStim, and Anodyne, the Rehab Services Department works closely with physicians to provide acute and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to restore the functional abilities of patients. Emphasis is placed on collaboration and teamwork, and new therapists are encouraged to grow their skills through professional development and mentorship. The department routinely finishes within the 90th percentile or better in the nation for patient satisfaction. A typical day includes Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating therapy treatments utilizing appropriate equipment, supplies, and procedures. Analyzes patients' needs to help design care Follows plan‑of‑care established by therapists Instructs patients / caregivers on home plans Documents relevant and appropriate information for care planning Job Requirements Education: Completion of an approved Occupational Therapist Assistant Program or other certification program recognized by the State Board of Healing Arts Experience: New grads welcome! 1 year of experience preferred Skills: Customer service, time‑management, problem‑solving, communication Licensure/Certification: Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board Physical: Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs. with patient and/or equipment assistance; carry up to 35 lbs.
