Mechatronics & Robotics Technician - JLL JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way. Join our Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, mentor junior technicians, and support a safe working environment. Job Overview This role involves operating in a fast‑paced environment, with up to 12‑hour shifts, 20% travel, and physical demands including lifting up to 49 pounds. The position is based in Spokane, WA. Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more. Maintain positive working relationships across all operations facilities. Track and store department inventory. Move up to 49 pounds, stand, walk, and perform tasks within the required shift durations. Travel up to 20% when necessary. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment. 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field. 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls. 1+ year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading. 1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles. Experience with MHE safety standards, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) requirements, and Safety standards. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Physical dexterity in eye/hand coordination, manual, and wrist motion. Physical Demands Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting. Lifting tools and parts weighing on average 20 pounds, up to 49 pounds occasionally. Dexterity required for eye/hand coordination, foot pedals, and wrist motion. Work may include small spaces, dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, uneven surfaces, and the need to stand on concrete for long periods. Ability to push/pull wheeled equipment and carts up to 100+ pounds and maneuver awkward or bulky equipment in cramped positions. Working at heights as required for the position.
