Associate Sweater Technical Designer

Functional Responsibilities Engage in the development of sweater garments from initial tech pack through bulk production approval. Assess samples against approved specifications and provide clear fit comments to vendors. Participate in fit sessions and document fit corrections and approvals. Track sample status and coordinate fit sessions. Support the Technical Designers in measuring and prepping for fit sessions. Communicate with vendors and the Quality Control team regarding fit, specs, and constructions: maintain accurate records of reports and vendor communications. Partner cross-functionally with Design to align on aesthetics, proportion, fit and construction. Work closely with the production team to meet calendar deadlines. Collect, organize, and maintain wear test feedback. Organize, maintain, and manage sweater archives. Review tension and hand feel of sweater products with Senior Technical Designers throughout all stages and maintain knit-down approval archives. Coordinate incoming and outgoing packages with vendors. Support Technical Design team in all relevant tasks. Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing ideas to streamline processes and increase efficiency. Skills & Qualifications Degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or equivalent experience. 4-5 years of experience in Sweater Technical Design. Strong understanding of sweater construction, gauges, stitches, yarns, and garment engineering. Strong understanding of grade rules. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to maintain consistency and drive efficiency across areas of responsibility. Demonstrated business acumen and a high level of professionalism. Solid working knowledge of PLM, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Salary range: $75,000 - $82,000 per year* *The offered salary or salary range is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.
