Position Summary

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer (QA Engineer) to develop and maintain comprehensive end-to-end tests using the framework of their choice. The ideal candidate will have strong, well-founded opinions on framework selection, including clear reasoning for their preferences and its application to the role. The Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will spearhead the quality assurance efforts for customer-facing and internal web applications. This role includes developing comprehensive test strategies, managing test infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product delivery. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in test automation, experience with modern frameworks, and a passion for driving excellence in product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test strategies and pipelines for web and mobile applications.
• Manage and maintain test automation infrastructure using tools like Playwright, Cypress, and BrowserStack.
• Create detailed test plans that align with business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define feature-specific test cases.
• Monitor and report on QA metrics, test coverage, and product quality.
• Advocate for testing best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of SDET or software engineering experience with a focus on web app test automation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and knowledge of frameworks like React or Next.js.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and performance testing tools.
• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• Background in Fintech (preferred).
