About the Role
Our client, a global leader in transportation, logistics, and supply chain solutions, is seeking an Associate Operations Coordinator to support daily shipment execution and customer service activities. The Associate Operations Coordinator plays a key role in managing shipment activities, maintaining accurate transportation data, and supporting the movement of freight across complex supply chain networks. Candidates with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset are encouraged to apply. Job Description
As an Associate Operations Coordinator, you will support transportation and logistics operations by ensuring shipments move efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer service.
Responsibilities
Execute operational tasks in accordance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements.
Create and manage transportation orders within company systems.
Provide shipment information and updates to customers and carrier partners.
Activate, build, assign, and manage transportation loads.
Schedule pickup and delivery appointments as required.
Track and trace shipments to ensure timely movement and delivery.
Enter shipment events and complete invoicing activities accurately.
Monitor task boards and shared email inboxes to respond to customer and carrier requests.
Document shipment activity and operational events while adhering to established procedures.
Follow escalation processes and training guidelines when issues arise.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer and carrier concerns.
Validate shipment and load data to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer and company standards.
Follow through on requests to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Perform additional duties as assigned based on team or business needs.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Previous customer service experience.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to communicate professionally with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
Effective organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to work evenings and/or weekends, if required for the assigned role.
Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Previous customer service experience in a call center, logistics, transportation, or similar high-volume environment.
Experience working with detailed data entry, documentation, or operational processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
