Industrial Manufacturing Electrician

Position Summary Industrial Electrician to support our Advanced Materials & Chemicals Division in Rochester, NY. Responsibilities Provide electrical support for chemical processing equipment, machinery, and facilities; including heat tracing and lighting. Repair, maintain, and upgrade equipment. Become an expert in electrical systems and equipment within the area of responsibility. Diagnose and repair equipment using a high level of expertise. Implement an established preventive maintenance program. Install conduit, wiring, switches, relays, lighting, and circuit breakers using power tools and hand tools. Calibrate equipment using test equipment. Process controls experience (including pneumatic controls) is a plus. Qualifications Strong electrical training and/or demonstrated skills/experience. Experience with explosion-proof and intrinsically safe electrical systems up to 480 V. Understanding of electrical codes for hazardous environments with flammable liquids. Ability to read electrical and instrument drawings. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software. Excellent safety record—stops all work clear of danger. Good team player and works effectively with other trades and changing priorities. Dependable and good attendance. Ability to work significant walking, standing, climbing stairs, ladders, etc. Ability to work off ladders, scaffolding, and manlifts. Indoor and outdoor work. Use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Minimum Education and Experience High school diploma. Electrical apprentice program and/or equivalent experience. Work Hours Monday – Friday, 8‑hour days (40 hrs/week). Willing to work some overtime as needed to support production and capital projects.
