Sentara Home Care Services in Harrisonburg is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full‑time day shift position. Pay range: $22.38–$37 per hour, with market‑competitive compensation packages including incentives and benefits. Overview The LPN works under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) and provides direct patient care within the scope of practice set by the Virginia Boards of Nursing. The role involves collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering care and treatment in a variety of settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, and private homes. Responsibilities Advocate for patients in the prevention of illness or disease. Provide direct patient care, including testing, medication administration, and implementation of nursing interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute care plans. Deliver patient and family education and support. Maintain accurate documentation and uphold legal and ethical nursing standards. Demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism at all times.
