Experience Requirements The equivalent of one year teaching work experience (2000 hrs.) in the field. Preferred Experience Working with students whose English is not their first language.Experience teaching disadvantaged adults is highly desirable. Education Requirements A bachelor's degree in adult education or related field Preferred Education Requirements A master's degree in education related to a language arts field ispreferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach language arts for successful completion of High SchoolEquivalency (HSE) exam to students without a high schooldiploma. Deliver course content that aligns with the college's curriculumstandards and student learning outcomes. Develop course syllabi, assignments, and assessments that reflectcurrent industry practices and ensure course outcomes aremet. Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment thataccommodates diverse learning styles and promotes studentsuccess. Use technology and other resources to enhance course delivery andstudent engagement, including online, hybrid, or face-to-facemodalities. Maintain accurate records of student's progress and grades. Must adhere to mid-term verification and final grade postingdeadlines.
