Role Description The Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye examinations, including refractions, binocular vision assessments, and contact lens evaluations, for patients across a wide range of ages and visual needs. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and managing ocular diseases, co-managing surgical cases with ophthalmologists when appropriate, and prescribing corrective lenses, therapeutic medications, and vision therapy as needed. The role involves documenting findings in the electronic health record, educating patients on eye health and treatment options, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. The Optometrist will contribute to practice growth by delivering patient-centered service, supporting optical and contact lens sales through clinical recommendations, and participating in quality and process improvement. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Las Vegas, NV, requiring consistent in-person collaboration with clinical and front-office staff. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution and active, unrestricted license (or eligibility for licensure) to practice optometry in Nevada. Clinical expertise in comprehensive eye exams, refraction, contact lens fitting, and management of common ocular conditions such as dry eye, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease. Proficiency with modern diagnostic equipment (e.g., OCT, visual field analyzers, retinal imaging) and comfort working within an electronic health record system. Strong patient communication skills, including the ability to explain diagnoses and treatment options in clear, accessible language and provide empathetic, age-appropriate care. Ability to work effectively in a team-based clinical environment, collaborating with technicians, opticians, and administrative staff to support efficient patient flow.
