Hourly Non-Exempt Position

Key Responsibilities:

• Operates, monitors, and maintains evaporator plant equipment.
• Operates, monitors, and maintains salt storage silos and loadout equipment.
• Receive and inventory of raw materials, organized and stored in a proper manner as directed by management.
• Mix raw material for the additive with the salt.
• Maintain work area(s) in a clean and safe manner. Maintains housekeeping in assigned areas to plant and AIB guidelines.
• Must possess a valid DMME general mineral miner card.
• Operate and perform water quality tests on the boiler
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance as directed by management.
• Maintain plant records, logbook(s), check lists, work permits, and other plant documents as needed.
• Monitors and maintains product quality and production.
• Generates work orders for problems found during plant operation.
• Operates mobile equipment.
• Maintenance on Crystallizer and supporting equipment during outages
• Load bulk trucks from silos.
• Perform well and pond inspections and record findings
• Police grounds and maintain roads in bad weather
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• Skills Strong understanding and technical knowledge of packaging equipment, leadership abilities, proficiency in production metrics, quality standards, and food safety requirements.
• Education An advanced educational degree is preferred, but extensive professional and practical experience is generally accepted.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Training: Employees are to participate in all required training. Employees are to keep all their training up to date.

Education Requirements (Evaluation Factors: Skills, Education, Experience, Abilities): High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
