About the Position

Job Title: Speech Pathologist Profession: Speech Pathologist Specialty: Speech Pathologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift - Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Occasional weekend shift required Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years' speech-language pathology experience preferred License: Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred Must-Have: Master's Degree or foreign equivalent required Essential Functions: Provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification, and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team. Job Summary: Reviews patient information before evaluations and during the course of treatment. Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments. Assists in data collection of patient outcomes. Instructs and directs support staff as outlined in national and state Practice Acts. Supervises assistants and support staff. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Organizational Requirements: Commitment to the safety and well-being of associates and patients. All associates must receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. E-Verify participation is required. Additional Unit Information: Physical therapy equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc. Special procedures include video swallows. Scrubs must be black.
